But this in fact will be the case as IBM, www.ibm.com, Armonk. N.Y., has selected Dubuque, Iowa, as the location of its first smart city project in the United States.

When Apple, www.apple.com, Cupertino, Calif., released the iPod in 2001 it changed consumer views on the MP3 player market.
