Withings Makes Play for ‘Health 2.0’

Perhaps capitalizing on millions of New Year's resolutions to get fit in 2012, Withings, www.withings.com, has announced a cloud platform capable of integrating health and wellness data from dozens of connected devices such as fitness-tracking apps and Wi-Fi-connected health products, among others.

Withings already offers multiple wellness-related connected devices, such as its Wi-Fi body scale and smart blood-pressure monitor, but the company says its new cloud platform can serve as a dashboard for all health and fitness data. The platform will collect and aggregate data from any connected device, allowing consumers to manage their personal health and wellness data in one, easily accessible location.

By making it a little simpler to get fit and stay healthy in 2012, Withings hopes to advance concept of ‘Health 2.0.’
